Carnet Joven (Youth Card), What is it and how do I get one?

It is a personal and non-transferable documentation with which you can enjoy different benefits such as easier transport, access to social, cultural and recreational goods and services, sports, transportation and much, much more.
With the Motto “Do more, be more", the youth card has a purpose to improve the conditions for the youth. This program has been developed with more than 40 other autonomous communities.
Currently the Valencian community account for 1,693 entities: 708 are from Alicante, 210 from Castellón, 756 from Valencia and 19 from Valencia. Between Together they make up the Institute Valencian of Culture (IVC) this adds 50% of a discount to the Main Theatre and Rialto Valencia, Arniches Alicante and the Auditorium of Castellón, while also giving discounts for the film library.
Where and How I can Get the Youth Card?
To get the Youth Card, you must be between the ages of 14 and 30 years of age. You must pay €8.40. The card has a validity of two years starting from the date of your first expedition.
There are two types of youth cards, The classic one and a the financial one.
• The Classic Youth Card: To get one you can go to any IVAJ offices or city councils that have IVAJ that have a convention for the emission of the card and pay corresponding rate.
• The Financial Youth Card: You can go to any bank branches associated with IVAJ (Banco Sabadell, Caixa Ontinyent, Bankia, Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar y la Caixa). Simply present your original ID, pay the applicable fee and open an account that has no expenses.
In addition, discounts and bonuses are established for victims of violence against women, members of large or single-parent families and young people with functional diversity
